Job Description

Join Microsoft's Compute Silicon & Manufacturing Engineering team as a Principal Silicon Debug Engineer to work on cutting-edge computer chip design and development for Microsoft's cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in product and test engineering, specializing in silicon debug or FA/FI
  • 5+ years of experience building debug methodology solutions for complex state-of-the-art SoC in advance process nodes
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
  • Experience defining and coding debug tools, system-level debuggers, and ATE/MFG exposure
  • Strong presentation, communication, and project management skills
  • Knowledgeable in DFT and DFM techniques, bring-up/debug, characterization/manufacturing test, and mixed signal IP's

Responsibilities

  • Guide Microsoft's strategy and execution on silicon debug, FA/FI, and debug tool readiness
  • Develop new silicon debug methodologies for all test content types in the MFG flow
  • Root-cause key product issues, circuit marginalities, special circuit failures, and translate them into corrective actions
  • Lead cross-functional teams, manage external vendors, and drive sub-projects as part of larger development programs
