Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in mechanical design with a focus on consumer electronics
• Experience in plastic and metal part design, material selection, and handheld/portable devices
• Passion for product innovation and problem-solving
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and statistical tolerance analysis
• Experience with technical graphical communication and component modules
• Experience with overseas manufacturers and Mandarin language skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead iPhone integration and architecture efforts with internal teams and contract partners
• Demonstrate creativity in problem-solving and adapt quickly to new technical areas
• Improve Apple's hardware performance and user experience through innovation and new technology
• Work on design of highly cosmetic enclosures with liquid and dust ingress protection
