Job Description

Apple is looking for a GPU Engineering Project Manager to drive the full program lifecycle from spec definition through execution, tapeout, and support of post-silicon activities and debug.

Requirements

  • BS + 10 years of relevant experience or MS + 8 years of relevant experience
  • Validated experience in GPU or SOC validation
  • Meaningful experience in technical leadership and/or project management experience

Responsibilities

  • Developing and negotiating project schedules and deliverables
  • Driving regular project meetings to focus the team on upcoming turning points and to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Leading key interfaces with SoC, system, software, and CAD
  • Asking probing questions and working with the functional leads to shape project and product-level decisions and priorities
  • Identifying risks and dependencies, generating mitigation plans, and ensuring appropriate steps are taken to resolve
  • Collecting, analyzing, and communicating project data to give an accurate picture of program status and areas that need attention
  • Communicating program status and blocking issues to multi-functional teams and different levels of management, as appropriate
  • Tracking and following up on action items
  • Defining and driving the process and tools to ensure high-quality project execution, minimal design escapes, and robust landmark completion
  • Preparing weekly status slides working with functional teams and tracking and closing action items using internal or industry-standard tools
