Sr. Wastewater Process Engineer, Powertrain

Job Description

Tesla Factory Design Engineering is seeking a Wastewater and Specialty Water Systems Design Engineer to join the Process Design team in Sparks, NV to work on detailed designs of chemical and utility systems for sustainable energy production.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in wastewater and specialty water systems Process Design
• PE registration in Nevada or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Expertise in OSHA requirements, ASME codes, NFPA codes, and building codes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, Pipe-Flo
• Experience in permitting wastewater systems
• Ability to lead chemical process hazard evaluations and HAZOP reviews
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering fundamentals to create detailed designs for Wastewater and Specialty Water systems
• Provide process engineering support to resolve operational issues
• Lead projects through detailed design and generate necessary documentation
• Participate in field construction and commissioning activities
• Review and ensure quality of process design work
• Mentor other engineers and team members
