Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years' experience with system model development, controller co-simulation, and validation
• Experience in developing physics-based multibody system models of electro-mechanical systems
• Proficiency in multibody dynamics modeling and simulation of robotic systems
• Analysis skills in statics, multibody dynamics, vibration, kinematics, stress, fatigue, and thermal analyses
• Knowledge in control systems, motor controls, model-based design, linear systems analysis, stability
• Modeling knowledge in kinematics, dynamics, position control, torque control
• Familiarity with electric motors, power electronics, control circuits, thermal modeling
• Understanding of physics of electric propulsion, motion control systems, heat transfer

Responsibilities

• Robot physics-based modelling
• Model-based design and architecture development
• Conceptual design of biped robots
• Accurate modeling of kinematic chains and system dynamics
• Abstraction and conversion of joint mechanisms into rigid body trees
• Model-informed design supporting new mechanism development
• Measurement and matching of model and measurement for low real to sim gap
• Complex controls simplification for fast analysis
