Job Description

Microsoft is seeking a Critical Environment Instrumentation Engineer to join their Cloud Operations & Innovation team and play a key role in supporting their mission-critical datacenters.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
Experience in operational, mission-critical 24x7x365 facility
Experience in the design and/or commissioning of Industrial Controls Systems (ICS) in datacenter critical environments
Project management experience with agile methodologies
Knowledge of construction techniques and terminology
Ability to manage multiple concurrent infrastructure projects
Understanding of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Battery Monitoring Systems (BMS)

Responsibilities

Maintaining ICS availability, data quality, service and change management, reporting, and security of all ICS systems in the Data Centers
Managing, servicing, and governing Microsoft’s electrical and mechanical ICS to include servers, applications, networks, and device infrastructure
Empowering a culture of safety and security in global datacenter operations
Developing positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
