Research Scientist Intern, Soft Wearable Tactile Sensors (PhD)

Job Description

Reality Labs Research is seeking a Research Scientist Intern to work on soft wearable tactile sensors for next-generation AR, VR, and MR products.

Currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Robotics, or related field
2+ years experience with hardware prototyping, soft wearable technologies, and hands-on experience with soft transducers design, manufacturing, and characterization
Strong systematic thinking, cross-group collaboration, and clear communication skills
Must have work authorization in the country of employment

Research and develop next-generation soft wearable technologies
Collaborate with the team to provide innovative solutions for challenges in soft wearables and sensing technologies
Design, prototype, and characterize novel wearable, acoustics-based sensors
Focus on fundamental scientific and engineering questions related to soft wearable technologies
Communicate and publish research activities and findings to collaborators
