Senior System Software Test Engineer, Networking

Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to join the NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux Verification Engineering Team and work on customer engagement engineering for data centers focused on AI and high-performance computing.

Requirements

• B.S degree or equivalent in Engineering/Computer Science/related field
• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in handling escalations
• Strong technical abilities, problem-solving, design, coding, and debugging skills
• Hands-on experience with Layer2 and Layer3 protocols
• Experience with test tools like Ixia or Spirent
• Strong skills in Python or other scripting languages
• Experience working on Unix or Linux-based OS
• Multi-tasking abilities and good interpersonal skills
• Understanding of software engineering practices

Responsibilities

• Internally replicating customer deployments and conducting customer-focused testing
• Collaborating with field teams and development to resolve customer issues
• Engaging with customers to assist with deployments and upgrades
• Driving post-escalation RCA to identify improvement areas
• Functional Testing of Layer2 and Layer3 features
• Writing detailed feature and system test plans
• Reporting issues found during testing and validating fixes
• Developing automated test suites for different features
• Building and maintaining automation for quality assurance
• Collaborating with design, test, and engineering groups to resolve issues
