6G Wireless Systems Research Engineer

Job Description

Join Apple's dynamic group to research and design next-generation wireless communication systems for radio access networks with a focus on PHY/MAC/L2/L3 layers.

Requirements

• BS and 10+ years of relevant experience
• Deep knowledge of communication system theory and wireless systems
• Strong exposure to wireless system design and channel sounder design in very high frequencies
• Experience in object-oriented programming and wireless system simulator design and implementation
• Familiarity with wireless system optimization for augmented reality, virtual reality, and automotive applications
• Strong foundation of machine learning concepts

Responsibilities

• Research and design next-generation (6G) wireless communication systems
• Contribute to link-level and system simulator modelling
• Participate in industry/academic forums focused on 6G technology
• Define necessary systems engineering support towards rapid prototyping platform development
• Contribute to future 3GPP RAN work items on 6G technology
