Security Operations Engineer II

Job Description

Microsoft is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to contribute to their Trust and Security Services team, focusing on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) management to ensure the authenticity and integrity of Microsoft products and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field OR 3+ years of experience in software development, computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, etc.
• 2+ years of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) experience
• 2+ years of scripting and/or software development experience
• Ability to meet specialized security screenings requirements

Responsibilities

• Identifying and implementing automation opportunities to enhance security operations efficiency
• Proactively identifying and addressing security control issues
• Operating PKI services and managing hardware and cryptographic devices
• Documenting, maintaining, and training others on PKI standards and procedures
• Scripting for automation using tools like PowerShell
• Conducting business continuity and disaster recovery exercises
• Supporting secure operations facility maintenance activities
