Wireless System Bringup and Debug Engineer

Job Description

Apple is seeking a Wireless System Engineer to work on advanced PHY and radio systems for wireless SoCs.

Requirements

• BS and 10+ years of relevant experience
• Experience, knowledge and skills on wireless system design, integration, bring up and debug of wireless PHY and RF systems on SoC platforms
• Strong understanding of OFDM and MIMO-based wireless systems
• Proficiency in performance metrics such as EVM, sensitivity and impairment mitigation strategies
• Experience with automation infrastructure development and related tools
• Knowledge of existing wireless communication protocols
• Advanced degrees - MS or PhD in Electrical Engineer or Computer Engineering

Responsibilities

• Transmit and receive chain bring-up, tuning, and performance optimization
• Develop and integrate PHY features and calibration algorithms
• Close collaboration with various engineering teams
• Conduct pre-silicon emulation-based bringup and validation
• Characterize performance, analyze data, and root-cause system-level issues
