NVH Engineer, Thermal

Job Description

Join Tesla's Vehicle Design Team as an NVH Engineer focusing on noise, vibration, and harshness performance for thermal rotating systems.

Requirements

• Expertise in rotational acoustic and vibration principles
• Experience in physical testing for NVH or durability in industries like automotive, rail, aerospace, or energy
• Hands-on experience with large data acquisition systems
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Physics, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Perform noise and vibration testing on components for thermal rotating systems
• Design and execute vehicle-level NVH tests
• Provide actionable feedback to vehicle design teams on NVH treatments
• Own the design validation process for internal fan designs
• Develop and maintain a noise attributes standard for all vehicle design groups
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce noise in thermal systems
• Produce and maintain virtual path analysis data libraries for thermal and vehicle products
