Sr. Data Engineer, Accounting & Finance

Job Description

Sr. Data Engineer role focusing on providing automations and data solutions to Finance and Accounting teams, supporting initiatives such as Accounting Reporting, Analytics, and Financial Forecasting.

Requirements

• Expert level SQL skills with deep knowledge of relational and analytical databases
• Proven experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and enterprise warehouse design
• Programming proficiency in Python or similar languages for building data pipelines
• Migration experience in moving from legacy stack to modern platforms
• Experience with modern data platforms, distributed technologies, and ETL frameworks
• Strong understanding of orchestration and transformation frameworks and CI/CD in data engineering
• Familiarity with data analytics platforms and query optimization
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated data solutions for various business teams
• Own and manage projects from design to production
• Write, maintain, and optimize scripts, processes, and jobs for analytics and reporting solutions
• Build and optimize scalable ETL pipelines
• Design and refine data models following best practices
• Identify and troubleshoot performance issues
• Stay updated with latest data engineering trends
• Collaborate with auditor and compliance teams
• Set high technical standards for the team
