Wireless RF PHY FW Engineer

Job Description

Join Apple's Wireless Connectivity Silicon team as an Embedded FW Engineer responsible for firmware development and wireless connectivity enablement.

Requirements

• BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong background in embedded FW development using C and assembly languages
• Good understanding of embedded wireless communication systems
• Experience with low-level hardware interfaces and bare-metal software development
• Proficiency in using lab equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Knowledge of industry standards for wireless communications
• Fluency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Perl, or Tcl

Responsibilities

• Craft and implement embedded firmware for SoC bring up and wireless connectivity enablement
• Work closely with product software and manufacturing teams for RF and PHY calibrations
• Collaborate with RF/Radio design, DVT, PHY, and System engineering teams for innovative algorithms and calibrations
• Debug realtime systems with limited visibility, working hands-on with development boards and lab equipment
• Support pre-silicon and post-silicon validation efforts, system integration, and debug
