Staff Manufacturing Engineer, Stator, Optimus

Job Description

Tesla is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to develop and engineer new processes and high-volume automation equipment with the Stator team in Fremont, CA.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software
• Strong hands-on experience with high-volume and pilot manufacturing
• Proven track record of data-driven methodology to solve complex problems

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing methods and specify equipment necessary for stator manufacturing
• Optimize product flow and line efficiency while reducing Capex and lead-time
• Generate machine specifications, documentation, and manufacturing instructions
• Identify and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction programs
• Collaborate with the Stator Engineering Design team to propose solutions for Tesla’s future products
