Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, Material Flow Automation Design & Implementation

Job Description

Tesla is seeking a Senior-level Engineer to lead the design and implementation of automated material handling systems in Gigafactory Texas near Austin, TX.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of practical automated material handling and process equipment design experience in relevant industries
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Effective communication skills at all organizational levels

Responsibilities

• Design automated material handling solutions for new and existing material flows in the factory
• Manage automated material handling projects from design to implementation
• Lead the layout and system design process
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and vendors
• Support troubleshooting during installation and start-up
