Job Description

As a Failure Analysis Engineer at Google, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of consumer electronics products. You will contribute to identifying root causes of failures and implementing corrective actions to enhance product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent
• 8 years of troubleshooting/failure analysis experience with consumer electronics products and technologies
• Experience with CT, SEM + EDS, mechanical cross sectioning
• Experience in project management

Responsibilities

• Minimize failures experienced by customers
• Reproduce and analyze field failures to understand failure mechanism and root cause
• Ensure materials and failure analysis capabilities support whole device screening and module level failure analysis
• Work with cross-functional team to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Understand factory OQC process and improve based on field returns
