Safety Design Engineer, Energy Products

Job Description

As a safety design engineer at Tesla Energy, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of battery energy systems and maintaining Tesla's robust safety record.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of product design experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in CAD modeling, CATIA V5/6 a plus
• Experience performing FMEA/hazard analysis
• Collaborative team player with strong technical communication

Responsibilities

• Own the safety for new and existing Tesla Energy products
• Provide safety thinking and coverage from the cell to product-level
• Perform component and system-level FMEA against safety requirements
• Develop and execute safety test validation plans
• Develop new technologies to promote safety
