Manufacturing Engineer, Rotor, Optimus

Job Description

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to develop and engineer new processes and high-volume automation equipment with the Rotor team in Fremont, CA.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with high-volume and pilot manufacturing
• Proven track record of data-driven methodology to solve complex problems
• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD or other 2D/3D CAD software
• Manufacturing process development, specification, and evaluation experience
• Experience directing complex projects
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Develop new highly automated manufacturing lines from concept to production
• Drive equipment and process optimization to increase yield, throughput, and availability while reducing cost and lead-time
• Manage installation, qualification, and ramp of manufacturing lines
• Lead validation of production processes and automated inspection tools
• Generate machine specifications, standards, and documentation
