Job Description

The Laboratory Lead position at Cummins Inc. involves performing analyses, data acquisition and interpretation, technical reporting, and maintenance of Materials Engineering tools and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent in a STEM field
• Regionally applicable certification or two year Associates Degree in a relevant field
• Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory work priorities, activities, and equipment maintenance
• Provide technical support for planning, scheduling, and testing on analytical instruments
• Prepare samples, perform analyses, and write technical reports
• Mentor and train other technicians on specialized analytical equipment
• Coordinate chemical waste disposal and ensure compliance with rules and guidelines
