Staff High Voltage Battery Mechatronics Test Engineer

Job Description

We are hiring an experienced mechatronics engineer to work on Tesla vehicle battery products validation and reliability testing.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or 5+ years of equivalent experience
• Strong technical problem-solving skills
• Experience developing automation systems and mechatronic systems
• Experience with object-oriented coding languages and scripting
• Familiarity with high voltage systems and safe work practices

Responsibilities

• Lead validation of new battery products and manage test execution
• Develop test infrastructure and automated test rigs
• Draft engineering documentation and devise novel test strategies
• Manage and delegate work to junior engineers
• Investigate test and field failures to resolve design deficiencies
