Job Description

Join Microsoft as a Software Engineer on the Azure Core One Fleet Platform team to build and scale foundational infrastructure for cloud services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
• Professional and/or academic experience with cloud services development, distributed systems, and/or computer architecture
• Professional and/or academic experience with GIT, Visual Studio, and/or Code Agents (including Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, and/or Llama)
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Break down work items into actionable tasks, estimate timelines, and escalate delays
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define feature requirements and integrate feedback
• Apply coding standards and best practices in object-oriented programming
• Support documentation and dependency mapping for features
• Participate in live service operations and act as a Designated Responsible Individual
• Develop and apply best practices for scalable, secure code
