Software Engineer (Technical Leadership)

Job Description

Meta is seeking a Software Engineer with industry experience in classification and optimization problems to work on exciting and massive social data and prediction challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience leading projects with industry-wide impact
• Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions
• Experience in mentoring/influencing engineers across organizations
• Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmap
• Experience in driving large cross-functional/industry-wide engineering efforts
• 12+ years of experience in programming languages (Python, C++, or Java) with technical background
• 8+ years of experience in machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining or deep learning based methods

• Communicate complex features & systems in detail
• Understand industry & company-wide trends to assess & develop new technologies
• Collaborate with organization leaders to improve team performance
• Identify and influence new opportunities for the organization
• Collect requirements and create an effective feature roadmap
• Develop scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning
• Adapt machine learning methods for modern parallel environments
