Job Description

The tvOS Quality Engineer at Apple will be responsible for qualifying features and releases for tvOS products from early design phases through customer delivery, ensuring products meet Apple's highest standards of quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing strategies, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience in functional, performance, longevity, and reliability testing
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Outstanding debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive problem solver
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

  • Drive comprehensive testing of new features from early design phases through product launch and customer delivery
  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for feature development
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand feature requirements
  • Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains stable
  • Lead quality initiatives across multiple cross-functional teams
  • Facilitate defect triage meetings and ensure timely issue resolution
  • Reproduce, isolate, and verify fixes for reported issues
  • Provide clear status reports to stakeholders
  • Create comprehensive test reports with risk assessments
