Machine Learning/Generative AI Engineering Manager - Maps Search Query Understanding

Job Description

Apple is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Search Query Understanding team for Apple Maps.

Requirements

• MS in Computer Science or related field with 6+ years of progressive software engineering management experience
• Demonstrated success in leading and growing high-performing teams focused on information retrieval technologies
• Experience with distributed systems and services
• Experience building and deploying Generative AI, LLM, and machine learning applications at scale
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Drive definitions and develop, evaluate and deploy multiple search features including Generative AI and LLMs
• Own details of projects and long-term vision for the team
• Collaborate with partner/product teams to set goals and roadmaps
• Provide technical and career mentorship to the team
• Communicate technical details and dependencies to stakeholders across Apple
