Custom Circuits Design Verification Engineer

Job Description

Design Verification Engineer role at Apple responsible for ensuring bug-free first silicon for digital custom IPs in Apple products.

Requirements

• BS degree plus minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience
• DV skills including random verification process, functional coverage, code coverage, assertion methodology & philosophy
• Knowledge of Verilog/System Verilog, digital simulation and debug tools
• At least one scripting language such as Perl or Python
• Knowledge of behavioral and structural RTL coding, FPGA, and emulation challenges
• Knowledge of industry standard design tools like ESPCV and/or LEC
• Knowledge of regression and revision control tools
• DFT (ATPG/MBIST) knowledge is desirable

Responsibilities

• Review design and architecture specifications of custom IPs for Apple SoCs
• Translate specifications into test benches including stimulus, checkers, assertions, trackers, and coverage
• Work closely with custom circuit designers and RTL designers
• Run and triage regressions, track bugs, and analyze coverage
• Collaborate with all teams involved in SoC design to ensure bug-free functional products
