Staff Software Engineer, Chrome Product Security, Core

Job Description

Google is looking for a software engineer to lead the Chrome Security team and drive security initiatives within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of experience in software development
• 5 years of experience with data privacy or security systems
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role
• 3 years of experience working in cross-functional projects
• Experience in security assessments, vulnerability management, and security development life-cycle

Responsibilities

• Lead work across the Product Security team and relevant projects within the Chrome Security team
• Interface with the wider Chrome Security team and all of Chrome to support key decision making
• Translate high-level security into concrete actions by managing vulnerability life-cycle and critical security automation
• Partner with Technical Program Management (TPM) counterparts on improving processes and tooling
