Sr. Wireless RF Design Engineer

Job Description

Design and develop RF hardware/system and/or antenna designs for energy products at Tesla, pushing the industry forward with best-in-class wireless communication solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years relevant work experience
• Knowledge of RF hardware design or antenna design
• Experience integrating wireless technologies into products
• Hands-on experience with RF lab test instruments
• Experience commercializing wireless products requiring international regulatory certifications
• Knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools
• Knowledge of multi-radio co-existence and RF desense mitigation

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF hardware/system and/or antenna designs for energy products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, antenna design, mechanical, and firmware engineers
• Take ownership of wireless design process from specification to manufacturing
• Review schematics and guide layout from RF perspective, perform impedance matching, bring up and validate wireless hardware
• Drive RF module and IC suppliers to develop roadmap and best-in-class RF performance
