Job Description

The Apple Ads Data Governance team is seeking a Data Governance Engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams in implementing critical privacy safeguards and data management controls.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of software development experience
• Production experience in Python or similar languages with data processing and API development familiarity
• Understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, and basic ML model deployment
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing, and deployment workflows
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools for production systems
• Intermediate knowledge of machine learning concepts, MLOps, and data pipelines

Responsibilities

• Design autonomous governance agents for petabyte-scale data pipelines ensuring compliance and quality
• Build MCP integrations for automated policy enforcement, PII detection, and data quality validation
• Partner with engineers and PMs to develop intelligent monitoring and auto-remediate issues
• Create reusable agent templates and workflows adaptable to changing regulations
• Contribute to distributed agent ecosystem emphasizing reliability and scalability
