Principal Software Engineer/Architect - Azure Core

Job Description

Seeking a Principal Software Engineer/Architect - Azure Core to lead the expansion into the next generation of big data and agentic platform services for Azure Resource Graph team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages like C++, C#, Java, or Python
• 5+ years of experience architecting large scale distributed systems
• 5+ years operational experience in running a service in large-scale clouds like Microsoft Azure
• 5+ years experience providing technical leadership and maintaining a data-driven culture
• 2+ years of experience in problem-solving in AI, large datasets, Spark, Ray, or similar technologies

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the strategy for ARG’s evolution into big data and agentic services
• Design scalable architectures for distributed systems integrating machine learning and intelligent agents
• Partner across Azure to build platform capabilities accelerating AI adoption
• Guide engineering teams in building high-performance services with immediate impact
• Build distributed micro-services in proprietary columnar databases, replication, agentic, indexing, etc.
