Principal Silicon Engineer

Job Description

The Principal Silicon Engineer position at Microsoft focuses on the design, development, manufacturing, and packaging of custom computer chips for Azure Cobalt and other Microsoft cloud services.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years technical engineering experience OR Master's Degree with 6+ years experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years experience OR equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience working on Computer Architecture and SoC design and verification principles
• 7+ years of experience developing and using verification environments in industry standard languages like SVTB UVM or formal verification

Responsibilities

• Lead an SoC verification team and own verification of SOC and integration of its components and/or SoC level flows
• Drive verification strategy, test plans, requirements, environments, tools, and methodologies
• Mentor and coach team members, collaborate with partners, and influence architects and logic designers
