Operations Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Operations Reliability Engineers at Apple are responsible for guiding development and operations teams towards generating reliable designs for new technology components and products.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience performing reliability testing including Mechanical Stress tests, Environmental & Fatigue testing, and Failure Analysis analytical techniques
• BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, Materials, Optical, Industrial or similar)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Apple module and system reliability engineering teams to lead operational readiness activities
• Facilitate problem resolution by driving focus on identified reliability issues
• Lead Ongoing Reliability Testing to enable scaling of validated prototype designs
• Partner with sustaining and AppleCare teams to enhance reliability experience
• Invent new ways of testing to improve efficiency and detection rates
• Investigate ways to utilize big data and machine learning to enhance reliability testing
