Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer position at Tesla involves designing mechanical components and mechanisms related to electrical connections, conductors, assembly assist, integration parts, and more. Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated successful experience in mechanical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of high volume manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in CAD modeling

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and mechanisms related to electrical connections, conductors, assembly assist, and integration parts
• Develop novel technologies and manufacturing techniques
• Perform thermal/structural modeling of components and systems
• Build prototypes and perform functional validation
• Integrate components into electro-mechanical systems
• Collaborate with reliability engineers, manufacturing engineers, and suppliers
