Job Description

Google is looking for a highly motivated Research Scientist to join the Jules AI team to conduct foundational and applied research in the field of artificial intelligence and software development.

Requirements

• PhD degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience leading a research agenda.
• Experience in machine learning, large language models, agentic AI, reinforcement learning, or statistical learning.
• Scientific publication submissions for conferences, journals, or public repositories.

Responsibilities

• Define and pursue a long-term applied research agenda for overcoming limitations of LLMs.
• Design and implement novel agentic architectures.
• Lead research into synthetic data generation and verification methods.
• Develop high-fidelity evaluation frameworks for measuring agent impact.
