SWE - Machine Learning Technical Lead, Data Engineering

Job Description

Lead Data Engineer position at Apple's ML Data Ops team responsible for establishing and executing the strategy for the organization's ML data engine.

Requirements

• Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
• 7+ years of industry experience as a software engineer, 2+ years as a tech lead/architect specialized in data infrastructure
• Proven experience designing, automating and scaling large data pipelines using state of the art technologies
• Expertise in Python or another modern programming language
• Strong ability to design and lead a technical roadmap, work with cross functional teams

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to assess needs and identify data components
• Design and execute roadmap for adoption of new components
• Improve automation workflows, data visualization tools, and ML enrichment
• Actively participate in implementing high-quality code
