Job Description

Meta is seeking a Data Center Systems Engineer to join the Data Center Site Operations team. The role involves maximizing server fleet up-time and utilization rates by leveraging data and automation solutions.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or commensurate experience
• 7+ years of experience in systems infrastructure operations or related field
• Experience in configuration and maintenance of various applications such as web servers, load balancers, etc.
• Experience coding in higher-level languages like Python, PHP, C++, or Java
• Experienced with Linux systems

Responsibilities

• Deliver maximum server fleet up-time and utilization rates, analyzing hardware failure conditions and root cause
• Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret business and operational needs and drive resolution of systemic issues
• Build cross functional relationships, mentor team members, and contribute to code development and debugging
• Participate in defining diagnostic tooling requirements and execute validation activities for new product integration
• Consistently collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine root cause and provide input into development processes
