Embedded Real Time Critical Control Firmware Engineer

Job Description

Apple is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to work on real-time critical control within a silicon design group focused on cellular SoCs.

Requirements

• BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience with design and implementation of bare metal control firmware
• Deep understanding of C, C++, compilers, build tools
• Solid understanding of computer architecture and high-speed communication subsystems
• Experience with memory-constrained Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and concurrent programming

Responsibilities

• Design and implement algorithms with minimal memory and cycles for real-time deadlines
• Build validation framework for implemented algorithms
• Assist in the development of pre-silicon emulation systems and virtual platforms
• Evaluate and implement tools for build, formal verification, and test
