Fire Protection Engineer - Dallas, Texas Area

Job Description

Arcadis is looking for a Fire Protection Engineer to join their Places Design & Engineering group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in facility design and will lead the fire protection discipline of multiple projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in mechanical or fire protection engineering
• At least 9 years of experience in consulting engineering and performing facility design
• Fire Protection Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States
• Strong communication skills
• Experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and mentor junior staff
• Develop construction-ready design packages with inter-disciplinary coordination
• Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, project and staffing plans
• Fluency in design and modeling software
• Travel to project sites for fire protection surveys
• Design fire protection systems in various facilities
