Mechanical Engineering Intern

Job Description

KLA is seeking motivated interns to contribute to exciting projects at our Ann Arbor, Michigan location this summer in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

• Completed fundamental coursework in mechanical design and manufacturing
• Basic skills in CAD software
• Familiarity with PTC Creo and Ansys is a strong plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
• Proactive attitude and perseverance to tackle complex challenges
• Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design 3D CAD models of mechanical parts and assemblies
• Create and maintain engineering documentation
• Perform basic analytical modeling to support design decisions
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams
• Procure components and materials for prototyping
• Assemble and test designs in a laboratory setting
