Job Description

Meta is seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to work on cutting-edge mixed-reality systems and drive the development of innovative hardware products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
  • 8+ years of experience in integrated hardware and software product development
  • Experience managing urgent projects through to completion
  • Proven technical proficiency in hardware disciplines such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, display, optics, cameras, audio, wireless, and systems engineering
  • Solid leadership skills with cross-functional technology teams
  • Analytical skills for testing, debugging, and root cause analysis
  • Proven track record conveying complex technical concepts and driving alignment on product requirements and architecture

Responsibilities

  • Drive hardware and technology teams through engineering design, development, and validation phases
  • Provide technical ownership and guidance for hardware product decisions
  • Work on all aspects of system engineering from requirements definition to risk mitigation
  • Develop processes and checklists for comprehensive documentation and alignment
  • Empower cross-functional collaboration and integration of innovative solutions
  • Plan and drive verification and validation strategies for hardware systems
  • Manage data-driven methods for developing system requirements and verification
  • Communicate effectively with teams, develop documentation, and debug complex systems
