Mechanical Engineer R&D

Job Description

Meta is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their R&D team in developing high-volume consumer products with cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience developing high-volume consumer products with stringent SWAP-C constraints
• 3+ years experience in 3D CAD modeling (NX or similar)
• Experience working cross functionally to rapidly prototype new concepts
• Experience designing for CNC, injection molding, die cutting, lamination

Responsibilities

• Work across the full product development cycle to deliver mechanical component/subsystem designs
• Manage suppliers for prototypes and production of parts
• Partner with a cross-functional team of engineers and researchers
• Advance TRL of component technology
• Manage parts schedule in alignment with program schedule
