Business Intelligence Analyst (contract)

Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to support sovereign cloud projects for government clients, focusing on data management, reporting, and release management using Power BI and other technologies.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in business systems analysis or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or engineering is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Strong expertise in Power BI (5–7 years).
• Proficiency in Kusto (KQL), CosmosDB, and SQL (5–7 years).
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Excel (5–7 years).
• Basic knowledge of programming languages for code comprehension.
• Excellent project management skills to handle diverse projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems using various information sources.
• High level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of applications.
• Work specifically with Power BI, including Semantic Models, applications, workspaces, dashboards, and reports from Kusto and CosmosDB data sources.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.
• Gather requirements from business units and translate them into actionable tasks for programmers and developers.
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses and return-on-investment assessments to inform system implementation decisions.
• Demonstrate informed knowledge of business functions to resolve issues and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support one or more complex business processes while working on multiple projects as part of a project team.
• Act as a liaison between the business community and IT organization to provide technical solutions that meet user needs.
