Job Description

Be part of a team developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products, contributing to innovation and shaping the next generation of hardware experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field
  • 8 years of experience in microelectronics packaging
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and programming languages like ANSYS, Flotherm, LS-Dyna, Abaqus, Fluent, Matlab, Python
  • Experience in thermomechanical reliability and mechanical drop or shock simulation
  • Experience with Statistical Software tools like JMP, Weibull++, SPSS

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop numerical models for understanding material, configuration, manufacturing, and reliability trade-offs in electronic assemblies
  • Develop numerical models to capture failure modes and physical phenomena during the microelectronics device lifecycle
  • Collaborate with various engineers to develop simulation-based design guidelines for microelectronics assemblies
  • Design and develop test vehicles for model validation and enhancement
  • Participate in developing roadmaps for materials, models, and infrastructure for numerical simulations
