Process Engineer, Battery Remanufacturing

Job Description

The position involves developing new systems for repair, trouble shooting complex electromechanical assemblies, and working on various components within vehicles. It requires attention to detail, adaptability, and effective communication with different engineering teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of high voltage DC battery systems or basic electronics and DC electrical systems
• Proficiency with hand tools, computer-based tools, precision measuring equipment, electrical test equipment, and computer databases
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SQL, and Outlook
• Reliability, innovation, commitment, self-starting attitude, and quality focus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, both written and verbal
• Proven ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints

Responsibilities

• Develop new process flows, order equipment, and validate before implementation
• Drive containment and counter-measurements into products and processes quickly
• Summarize data from various sources such as vehicle logs, service database, repair orders, and production systems
• Maintain inventory integrity and repair history through diligent record-keeping
• Develop technical documentation and instructions for production use
• Communicate product failure details to design, product excellence, and reliability departments
• Ensure proper use and understanding of failure analysis tools and methodologies
• Improve key performance indicators including first pass yield, scrap rates, and cycle times
• Prevent and solve safety risks in the manufacturing environment
• Manage daily site operations to meet productivity targets
