Job Description

Backend Software Engineering Internship at Tesla focused on designing software solutions for a high volume, cell charging/discharging system.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant engineering program such as Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Proficient in system-level languages such as Golang (preferred), C, C++, and/or Python
• Experience in Linux OS, Python/Bash scripting, Docker, JSON, YAML best-practices, software design, Git, CI/CD, algorithms, data structures, code modularity, maintainability, testing concepts, modern system technologies, and hardware connection protocols

Responsibilities

• Implementing concurrent systems, cell cycling, state machine algorithms, and high-speed data management
• Developing high reliability Go code, interfacing equipment with Tesla production databases, creating new features and modifications for manufacturing process, working on firmware integration, producing robust software to support global manufacturing, participating in software testing and continuous deployment processes, and hands-on hardware bring-up and prototyping
