Staff Manufacturing Equipment Engineer, LFP Cell Manufacturing

Job Description

Tesla is seeking a Staff Equipment Engineer to help define and execute the future of high-volume cell manufacturing, focusing on advanced manufacturing systems for battery cell technologies.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 8+ years relevant experience in interdisciplinary/integrated engineering and manufacturing engineering
• In-depth knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology and manufacturing processes
• Experience with automated equipment and high-speed applications
• Experience with electrical testing equipment and data management

Responsibilities

• Developing safety solutions and systems in compliance with industry standards
• Leading design and development of manufacturing equipment and systems
• Optimizing performance of pneumatic/mechanical/electrical systems
• Leading cross-functional projects to improve process efficiency
• Managing and mentoring multidisciplinary teams
