Sr. Software Engineer, Digital Experience

Job Description

As a Software Engineer on Tesla’s Digital Product Engineering team, you will be responsible for building information systems to support Tesla's rapid growth while providing a seamless and intuitive customer experience.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, proof of exceptional skills in related field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of related practical experience in software engineering
• Experience with microservices or service-oriented architecture
• Expertise with databases, including MySQL for structured data management and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch for search, indexing, and analytics
• Good unit testing and integration testing practices
• Experience writing code in programming languages like C#, Go, Python or JavaScript
• Knowledge about JavaScript (ES5/6), HTML, CSS, and the React framework for building intuitive frontend interfaces
• Familiarity with AI integration, including LLMs for tasks like generating pricing insights and agentic AI workflows for adaptive user experiences

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support applications and systems within the team's scope
• Lead technical efforts to onboard Tesla products into new international markets
• Design and build AI-powered chatbot solutions
• Identify, design, and implement enhancements to improve the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of order processing workflows
• Monitor production systems, analyze real-time metrics, respond to alerts, and proactively address system performance and availability concerns
• Write clean, maintainable, performant, and well-tested code
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Engineering, and Business teams
• Adapt quickly to evolving business priorities and technical requirements
• Work with a modern tech stack including C#, Python, Go, Node.js, React, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, GraphQL, Docker, and Kubernetes
