Mechanical Engineer, Actuator Integration, Optimus

Job Description

Tesla is seeking a Mechanical Engineer or related field to design high-performance electromechanical actuator systems for humanoid bi-pedal robots.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years experience with design of rotary and linear gear systems for electromechanical actuators
• Experience in mechanical engineering product design and manufacturing
• Hands-on experience in fabrication, machining, wiring, and electronics
• Experience with torque and force sensing technologies
• Familiarity with electric motor and motion control technologies

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate rotary and linear speed reduction systems
• Collaborate with motor design engineers to develop efficient electromechanical actuator systems
• Continuously evaluate new technologies for design improvements
• Build and validate motor, gear, and actuator prototypes
• Support industrialization and production activities
