Performance & Capacity Engineer - Planning Optimization

Job Description

Meta is seeking a Performance & Capacity Engineer to focus on site-wide performance and capacity optimization at the intersection of all Meta products and services and all physical infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 4 years of experience working with distributed systems at scale
• Proficient in any coding language and designing software systems
• Desire to learn about capacity planning and optimization
• Experience managing ambiguity and learning new business and technical concepts

Responsibilities

• Own technical and business outcomes for capacity planning for all Meta products and services
• Build automated, scalable data and analytics solutions using automation, optimization, and AI models
• Partner across engineering landscape to optimize hardware, infrastructure, and software intersection
• Work with Finance to balance cost efficiency with technical and product considerations
• Define problem statements, collect data, build analytical models, and drive optimization at strategic levels
