Manufacturing Engineer, Stator, Optimus

Job Description

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to develop and engineer new processes and high-volume automation equipment with the Stator team in Fremont, CA.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience improving production processes using data analysis software (Minitab, JMP)
• Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software
• Experience working with automation systems and robotics controlled by PLCs
• Strong hands-on experience with high-volume and pilot manufacturing
• Proven track record of data driven methodology to solve complex problems

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing methods and specify equipment necessary for stator manufacturing
• Optimize product flow and line efficiency while reducing Capex and lead-time
• Generate machine specifications, documentation and manufacturing instructions
• Identify and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction programs
• Collaborate with the Stator Engineering Design team to propose solutions for Tesla’s future products
• Drive excellence in project execution by defining, managing, and executing project timelines
